Terms of use
These terms are between your agency and Novas Pvt Ltd (Malé, Maldives), which makes UsherKit. By creating a workspace or using UsherKit you agree to them.
The service
UsherKit lets an agency upload a venue floor plan, import a guest list, seat guests, and run the door on the night: a guest search page, usher tablets, live arrivals, a room screen and printed QR material. The free plan covers one live event at a time with up to 150 guests. Larger limits are agreed with us and invoiced in MVR.
Your workspace and team
- You're responsible for who you invite to your workspace and for keeping sign-in details safe.
- Usher links unlock the full guest list on a tablet. Share them only with your ushers, and regenerate one if it leaks.
- Don't use UsherKit to break the law, to upload content you have no right to use, or to attack or overload the service.
Guest data: our processing terms
Your agency is the controller of the guest lists it uploads; Novas Pvt Ltd processes them for you as your processor. In particular:
- We process guest names, details, party sizes, seats and check-in times only to seat guests and run your event, and only on your instructions as given through UsherKit.
- You confirm you may share the guest list with us for that purpose, and you tell guests about it where the law requires.
- Guest data is deleted automatically 90 days after the event date, or sooner when you delete the event or your workspace.
- People working on UsherKit are bound to keep guest data confidential, and access it only to support you.
- We keep each workspace separate, take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the data, and tell you without undue delay if we learn of a breach affecting it.
- We help you answer guests' requests about their data.

Availability
We work hard to keep UsherKit running on the night: usher tablets keep searching when the venue Wi-Fi drops and send check-ins when it's back. We can't promise the service will never be interrupted, and we're not liable for losses caused by an outage beyond what the law requires.
Changes and ending
We may change UsherKit and these terms; we'll tell workspace owners about changes that matter. You can delete your workspace at any time, which deletes its events and guest data. We may suspend a workspace that breaks these terms, and will contact you first unless there's an urgent risk.
